Saint Patrick’s Day brings out all the green food!
Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with a collection of my favorite vegan desserts — all inspired by green hues, minty flavors, and Irish traditions. Below you’ll find a curated list of recipes that are easy to follow, often alcohol-free (or optional), and come with printable instructions plus step-by-step video tutorials where noted.

In many cases Saint Patrick’s Day also brings out the alcohol!
I rarely use alcohol in my baking, and when I do it’s always optional — you can easily leave it out or substitute with a neutral liquid.
Each recipe includes printable instructions and a step-by-step video tutorial.
KEY LIME CAKE
This versatile key lime cake is a base recipe that works for layers, cupcakes, loaves and even petit fours. Light, tangy, and perfect paired with a fluffy key lime frosting.

ANDES MINT CAKE
Chocolate and mint are a classic match. Moist chocolate layers with mint buttercream make for a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert that’s ideal for a green-themed celebration.

IRISH WHISKEY DONUTS
These chocolate cake donuts gain a rich depth of flavor from Irish whiskey — though the alcohol is optional. They’re finished with green buttercream to seal the Saint Patrick’s Day vibe.

GRASSHOPPER CHEESECAKE
A creamy vegan cheesecake with a hint of mint, set on a chocolate cookie crust and topped with whipped cream. It’s an elegant, mint-forward dessert perfect for the holiday.

OMBRE MATCHA CAKE
One of my favorite layer cakes: matcha sponge layers in graduated shades of green, filled and frosted with whipped cream. Visually stunning and delicately flavored with green tea.

MATCHA CAKE ROLL
A simpler way to enjoy matcha: this roll bakes flat, fills with chai-spiced whipped cream, and rolls up into a beautiful, sliceable dessert.

LEMON LIME CAKE
This is one of my proudest creations: bright lemon-lime layers paired with fluffy key lime cake and a zesty key lime custard. It’s decorated with adorable details that make it festive and fun.
*Note: This particular design requires a special mold for the chocolate cauldron.

IRISH CREAM MOUSSE CAKE
Not green, but utterly indulgent: a silky Irish cream chocolate mousse layered cake. Rich, creamy, and a delightful option for anyone who loves boozy flavor notes (optional).

IRISH SODA BREAD
No Saint Patrick’s Day spread is complete without a classic Irish soda bread — crusty on the outside, tender inside, and perfect alongside soups or as a savory option amid the sweets.

COOKIE CREAM CAKE
Layers of cookies and buttercream come together in an irresistible format. This beautifully presented dessert is surprisingly easy to portion — a little goes a long way.

NEXT LEVEL KEY LIME PIE
While not the most traditional Saint Patrick’s Day item, this vegan key lime pie is consistently a crowd favorite — bright, creamy, and satisfying every time.

BAILEY’S IRISH CREAM CUPCAKES
Guinness stout cupcakes topped with Irish cream buttercream, decorated to resemble tiny beer mugs — a playful, boozy-inspired cupcake for the holiday. As always, boozy components can be omitted or substituted.

Enjoy these vegan Saint Patrick’s Day desserts as individual treats or combine several for a festive dessert table. Each recipe is designed to be approachable, customizable, and suitable for sharing with friends and family.
